  2. Yes Norm,
It was a great show. Lots of fun and saw you on the drums sitting in doin' your thing!

Just got home from seeing Phil Gates at Biscuits & Blues - he has a new CD and is booked at this year's Monterey Bay Blues Festival. Incredibly talented guitarist and vocalist.

  4. Hi.

I will be spending most of the weekend working on things for TGGBS - amd getting my manicure!

Getting ready for the big GAMH show on Wednesday, the 31st and making sure that our membership table there will have material on what we are doing and the mechanics to sign up new members.

Also, will be at Biscuits & Blues on Tuesday to see the fabulous Michael Burks. I hear tickets are going fast so better get yours.

    What you doing wonderman Webmaster?

    Hi,

Just a note to thank everyone for helping make our first membership meeting and concert featuring the fabulous E.C. Scott & Smoke such a success.

I am off to Memphis for the Blues Music Awards and other activities during that time. I will be doing a lot of networking with other blues society people and the Blues Foundation to enhance The Golden Gate Blues Society.

We are still working on improving this site and hope to set up a more user friendly way to communicate with you.

Meantime, thanks to everyone and look for some major events now in the planning stages.

    Dorothy

  6. Hi,

Back from Memphis and trying to recuperate after a fantastic week of blues and more blues and lots of networking with other societies.

Just want to say that it is more important than ever that band members renew their memberships. One of the major benefits will be eligibility for consideration to compete in our International Blues Challenge to send a member band to Memphis in February 2011. For more information on that event, check out www.blues.org. Past winners have proclaimed it as the best career builder and the perks are huge. Our proposal for the local events is almost completed and information will be forthcoming.

We will be partnering up with the Redwood City Blues Festival - July 23 & 24 - as a sponsor and lots of surprises at that event.

Good news is that the Little Fox jams will be happening again under the leadership of Vince Caminiti who will have our full support. Details are being worked out and this is very exciting news.

Keep blusin' and I'll see you on the front row!

    Dorothy
